Pokémon World Championships 2017

I lead the art direction and created the identity for The Pokémon Company International's biggest annual event of the year. I began the concept round by researching what inspires people when they think of Anaheim and California. The result was palm trees, beaches, waves and a burst of vibrant and poppy colors.

The blue and purple sub-theme was inspired by the famous checkerboard pattern from a shoe company which originated in Anaheim.

This year, I designed many products including Trading Card Game accessories, New Era caps, backpacks as well as print/digital collaterals such as stream graphics, banners, wall panels, and backdrops.

I also managed the style guide making sure that the identity was consistent and compliant.
